Privacy Policy

Vista Frame (the “App”) turns your iPad into a digital photo frame and a HomeKit dashboard. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what the App accesses, how it is used, and what leaves your device — which is almost nothing.

Information the App Accesses

Photos & Videos

With your permission, the App reads photos and videos from the albums or library you choose, in order to display them in the slideshow. This content is read on your device for display only. It is never uploaded, copied off your device, or shared by the App.

HomeKit

With your permission, the App accesses your HomeKit home to show live camera feeds and to control accessories such as lights, locks, switches, garage doors, and fans. HomeKit communication is handled by Apple’s HomeKit framework directly between your device and your accessories. The App does not store or transmit your HomeKit data to us or any third party.

Location (from photo metadata)

To show the place name where a photo was taken, the App may send the photo’s embedded GPS coordinates to Apple’s geocoding service to convert them into a readable location name. This uses Apple’s system service and is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. The App does not track your real-time location and does not store location history.

Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect contact information, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics, or any data used to track you across apps or websites. There is no advertising SDK and no analytics SDK in the App.

Third-Party Services

The App relies only on Apple system frameworks (Photos, HomeKit, Core Location, AVFoundation, and AirPlay). When you use AirPlay, media is sent to the AirPlay receiver you select. We do not integrate any third-party data-collection services.

Permissions

The App requests Photo Library and HomeKit access only to provide its core features. You can review or revoke these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security. Denying a permission simply disables the related feature.

Data Security

Because the App keeps your content on your device and does not operate its own servers, your data benefits from the security of your device and of Apple’s platform protections.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
